End-users are often led to believe that Content Management Systems can be used to do every and anything on a website, but this hardly ever is reality due to the fundamental differences between organizations’ needs. FS FOCUS was one of these organizations, and they soon discovered the limitations of their CMS now that they were handling more and more subscriptions for their events and things couldn’t be processed by hand any longer. FS FOCUS is a financial study association which organizes various events throughout the year such as banking tours, workshops, recruitment events and other social activities. Due to the growing number of these events and the desire to have one single structured way of handling these events, FS FOCUS decided to assign midd.ag the task of developing a platform for managing their website as well as the various sub-sites for each event. As a result, we developed a system that allows users to manage the ins and outs of the entire website and offers a way of easily setting up sub-sites for events, complete with photo albums and custom registration pages (including custom input fields). In order to keep things manageable for the organization, each sub-site has its own login to the backend system of the website and has only limited rights within this system.
